The Gender Equality Office of Özyeğin University joined the E3 – Equality in Education and Employment Peer Learning Platform 13 months ago. The program is led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group. The platform brings together 30 institutions from around the world with the aim of advancing gender equality in education and employment, sharing best practices among organizations, and promoting peer learning and collaboration at the international level. Within the scope of the program, Gender Equality Specialist Arca Begüm Bayır delivered four presentations highlighting the university’s efforts in gender equality initiatives, policy development processes, and inclusive institutional practices. Following the evaluation of participating institutions, Özyeğin University was recognized as a model institution for its exemplary practices and institutional commitment to gender equality, and was invited to speak at the program’s panel session. Representing Özyeğin University, Arca Begüm Bayır delivered a speech in which she shared the university’s strategic approach to embedding gender equality into its institutional culture, along with practical examples of initiatives and implementations that reflect this commitment to inclusivity and equity on a global stage.
