  • 14.10.2025 – Özyeğin Üniversitesi – The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Gender Inequalities” Seminar – A seminar was held in which Meltem Kutlu discussed the impacts of artificial intelligence on gender roles and inequalities, including real-life examples and solution-oriented recommendations.
  • 19.10.2025 – Kadın Çalışmaları Kulübü – Feminist Classics Reading Group – “Wuthering Heights” – The book was discussed with participants under the moderation of the club advisor, Dr. Senem Timuroğlu.
  • 19.11.2025 – OzU LGBTIQ+ Club – Basic Terms Workshop – A workshop addressing fundamental concepts such as gender and sexual orientation was organized.
  • 22.10.2025 – Özyeğin Üniversitesi – International Day of the Girl Child “The Role of Bar Associations in Protecting Girls in the Physical and Digital World: The Istanbul Bar Association’s Approach” Event – A law-themed seminar was held on the occasion of 11 October, International Day of the Girl Child, focusing on the role of bar associations in protecting girls in both physical and digital environments.
  • 22.10.2025 – Kadın Çalışmaları Kulübü – “Consciousness Raising Talks: New Beginnings” – The event was held on 22 October 2025 between 18:30 and 21:30 in Scola B05.
  • 23.10.2025 – Sürdürülebilirlik Platformu – “Women’s Cooperatives Research Report Launch” – At the launch meeting where the findings of the “Current Situation Analysis of Women’s Cooperatives in the TR90 Region” conducted within the Sustainability Platform Social Empowerment Program were presented, the institutional structures, production capacities, sustainability levels, and future opportunities and threats of women’s cooperatives were discussed, and recommendations were offered to support the strengthening of women’s entrepreneurship.

  • 26.11.2025 – Özyeğin Üniversitesi Hukuk Fakültesi – ‘‘The Responsibility of the Administration in Combating Violence Against Women” Event – As part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on 25 November, the event titled “The Responsibility of the Administration in Combating Violence Against Women” was held in person on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, between 10:40 and 11:30 in room AB3 332.

  • 05.12.2025 – Özyeğin Üniversitesi Hukuk Fakültesi – “Policies and Interventions to Combat Violence Against Women and UN Women Event ” – As part of the International Day for the Combating Violence Against Women on 25 November, the event titled “Policies and Interventions to Combat Violence Against Women and the UN Women Unit” was held with the participation of F. Betül Bodur Dağtekin, Programme Analyst at UN Women Türkiye, where the policies and intervention areas of the United Nations Women’s Unit in combating violence against women were discussed.

  • 21.10.2023 – Özyeğin Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Fakültesi İnsan ve Toplum Bilimleri Bölümü – “Rethinking the History of the Women’s Movement on the Centenary of the Republic Conference” – This conference, organized by lecturers Dr. Senem Timuroğlu, Dr. Özlem Dilber, and Dr. Murat Narcı, aimed to examine the history of the women’s movement from multiple perspectives within the context of various disciplines.

  • 19.12.2023 – OzU LGBTIQ+ Club – “Queer Theory 101 “ – In the seminar and workshop, with the participation of Sevcan Tiftik, Academic Studies Coordinator of the ÜniKuir Association, the definition of queer, what it is not, how it is perceived, and the theoretical process emerging from resistance were discussed.
  • 19.12.2023 – İdealist Hukukçular Kulübü – “Kadın Cinayetlerinin Hukuki Bağlamda Değerlendirilmesi” – On Tuesday, December 19, a talk was held with Av. Dr. Rezan Epözdemir, who represented Münevver Karabulut, Pınar Gültekin, and other significant cases, discussing femicides and, in particular, the legal process of the Münevver Karabulut case.

  • 08.03.2023 – Özyeğin Üniversitesi Hukuk Fakültesi – “8 March International Women’s Day: A talk on “Being a Woman” in Disaster Period” – Expert Attorney Süreyya Kardelen Yarli participated as a speaker in a talk titled “Being a Woman” During Disaster.
  • 08.03.2023 – İdealist Hukukçular Kulübü – “March 8 International Women’s Day” – It is a talk with Attorney Bahar Ünlüer Öztürk, the Coordinator of the Istanbul Bar Association Women’s Rights Center, on women’s rights, the Women’s Rights Center, the problems faced by women in the earthquake region, and what can be done in this field. It is aimed to raise awareness on the subject, especially by drawing attention to the difficulties experienced by women in the earthquake region.

Prof. Nilüfer Kafesçioğlu.

  • 30.03.2023 – Uluslararası İlişkiler Bölümü – “A Study of Intersectionality on the Black Lives Matter and Me Too Movements” – A talk in which Dr. Başak Taraktaş addressed the intersectionality of the Black Lives Matter and MeToo movements was held.
  • 06.04.2023 – OzU LGBTIQ+ Club – A “Terminology” workshop, in which the LGBTIQ+ Club provided information with the aim of eliminating discriminatory language, was held.
  • 04.05.2023 – Özyeğin Üniversitesi Alman Hukuku Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi – “Unjust Provocation Reduction in Femicide in Turkey” – An online conference titled “Unjust Provocation Reduction in Femicide in Turkey”, whose speaker was Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tören, was held.
  • 09.05.2023-10.05.2023 – Özyeğin Üniversitesi Hukuk Fakültesi – “V. International Congress on Understanding Violence “Cyber Violence”” – The congress organized in cooperation with IMDAT and Özyeğin University Faculty of Law aimed to understand violence in the context of cyber violence.
  • 13.06.2023 – Yoga and Well-Being Club / OzU LGBTIQ+ Club – “Pride Month Picnic” – The Pride Month Picnic was held at the Picnic Area next to the Football Field.
  • 28.07.2023 – Özyeğin Üniversitesi Hukuk Fakültesi – “Offenses Against Sexual Immunity and Impunity” – A one-hour talk on Crimes Against Sexual Immunity and the Case of Impunity was held with Dr. Aras Türay who is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law of Istanbul Gedik University.
