Plans & Reports

At Özyeğin University, we take concrete steps to strengthen gender equality in a permanent and sustainable way. We believe that creating an equitable, inclusive, and supportive academic environment is only possible through long-term strategies and regular evaluations. In this regard, we uphold our commitment to gender equality through two fundamental frameworks:

🔹 Gender Equality Plans (GEP)

The Gender Equality Plans (GEP) are the strategic plans that outline Özyeğin University’s long-term roadmap for gender equality. These plans set concrete goals and actionable steps to ensure the development of inclusive and equitable policies across different areas of the university.

The main objectives of GEP;

✔️ Strengthening gender equality in governance and decision-making processes

✔️ Ensuring equal opportunities and promoting diversity in academic and administrative staff

✔️ Providing an inclusive and safe learning environment for students

✔️ Encouraging a gender perspective in research activities

✔️ Building a culture of equality among all university stakeholders

Initially launched in 2017, GEP became the university’s first comprehensive strategic plan on gender equality. In 2024, an updated second version (GEP v2) was introduced, expanding the scope of its objectives and adapting to evolving needs.

🔹 Gender Equality Reports (GER)

The Gender Equality Reports (GER) are annual assessment reports designed to measure progress towards GEP goals, identify strengths, and highlight areas for improvement.

The main functions of GER:

✔️ Analyzing the university’s performance in gender equality

✔️ Evaluating the effectiveness of action plans

✔️ Developing more inclusive and sustainable strategies for future years

✔️ Enhancing accountability through transparent data sharing

These reports are prepared in collaboration with the ÖzU Gender Office and the Planning and Analysis Office and include both quantitative (statistical data) and qualitative (experiences, feedback, policy analyses) findings.
